There are about 17 countries that celebrate a form of Thanksgiving. In the United States, this holiday falls in November. Whether your country has a holiday related explicitly to Thanksgiving or not, gratefulness is so essential in the life of someone who follows Jesus.
There are just so many scriptural reminders to be thankful, like:
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful” – Colossians 3:15
Our thankfulness arises from our appreciation of Jesus’ great sacrificial love and the sacrificial love that we get to show and receive from others. One could argue that sacrificial love is a hallmark of God’s kingdom.
