Love Through Caring, Opens Doors for Sharing Jesus

In restricted and even closed areas of the world, initiating a connection with people through humanitarian or ‘compassionate care’ is often the only way to begin the process of reaching for Christ. It could be through an immediate need like food and medical care, or something more sustainable like supplying reading glasses or providing a village with a well that continually gives them clean water. Here is one story that helps illustrate how God can work through this approach.

“A “JESUS” film team began to distribute food in a difficult community known for great resistance to the gospel and its dangerous, radical militants. One day, a family in the community approached the team, asking, “Can you come to our home?”

When the team arrived, the entire family had gathered together with tears in their eyes. They said, “For the last number of years, our people have been determined to drive out any Christians. Whenever someone came to speak about Jesus, we responded by beating and forcing them to leave. But now, more of you have come back and we want to know why. “What kind of love do you have?”

Team responded by showing the family “JESUS.” In the safety of their home, the family members felt His love and heard Jesus speak in their language. The entire family believe and came to faith in Christ!”

It is because of the prayers and support of the ministry by friends like you that these kinds of stories are being written. Thank you!

From Southeast Asia to Francophone Africa, God is working through “compassionate care” efforts that open doors for direct film evangelism.
