January Prayer Update

Praise:

  • My hernia surgery [12/9] went well, and recovery appears to be on schedule. I am about two weeks from getting back to full exercise, and a month or so from heavy lifting.
  • I had a good, but brief visit with my siblings and their families Christmas week. Pray for my niece and family, as she is expecting her fourth child in less than three weeks.
  • Year-end fund development efforts came in close to 2023 results; fewer overall gave, but those who could, gave more…to God goes the praise!

Pray:

  • For the effective follow-up of those who responded to holiday television outreach broadcasts in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and across Africa.
  • One of this month’s focuses is to seek support for 60 new film teams in Africa and Asia. Pray for friends of the ministry to be prompted by the Spirit to sign-on to help underwrite these teams each month in 2025, and beyond.
  • That I will be able to get caught up at work and home before leaving for two weeks in Central Florida. The trip is an annual, multi-purpose ministry venture.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13 (NIV)

*****“

Hope can be understood as desire—as the God-ignited desire for those things that he has promised to us, and our trust that we will indeed receive them… Hope thus reaches out beyond sight to make contact with what God has promised, and indeed with what he has given which cannot yet be experienced to the full.” — Joshua Alzner, Responding to the Thirst of God: 40 days to the Heart of Love. (Independent Publisher, 2022. Kindle edition). p. 61
