From Africa to Asia, from Europe to Australia, and from the Americas to the Middle East, Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) is coming alongside and helping local church ministries to grow, thrive and multiply. Here’s an example:
SOUTHEAST ASIA— A staff member with Global Church Movements—the church-planting arm of Cru®—showed the JESUS film to a large group of people in his village one day. A woman named Esther* was in the audience, and she watched the film with rapt attention. The Holy Spirit moved in her heart as she saw the portrayal of Jesus’ life unfold on screen. By the time the showing was over, she had indicated a decision to receive Christ into her life! She soon began to faithfully attend church.
Although Esther had put her faith in Jesus, the rest of her family had not. She earnestly prayed that God would touch their hearts and that her whole family—her husband, children and grandchildren—would put their trust in Him. After she shared the gospel with her family members, God opened their hearts—and 17 of them accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. God heard Esther and fulfilled the desires of her heart. A new church was even planted in her village! Praise be to God!
A heart for God, and a passion for prayer, transformed a family. As you and I pray, and seek God on behalf of others; friends, family, etc., he can and will act, in his way and his timing. Who might be on your heart today, to seek God’s personal revelation of Himself to them? Start praying, and keep praying…
