One of the gospel sharing tools we invite friends to help provide are 10” video tablets or tablet sets, which include a Bluetooth wireless speaker powerful enough to reach audiences of 25+ people. He’s one story of how God works through such tools.
Eastern Africa
Wanting to watch the JESUS film in the local language, Jemal* borrowed his friend’s tablet that contained downloads of Jesus Film Project® resources. He couldn’t wait to watch the film later that night, and he promised to return the tablet the following day. But Abera, a young man from the same village, stole the tablet from Jemal’s bag without his knowledge and intended to sell it immediately. Before doing so, Abera checked the contents on the device and saw the JESUS film downloaded in his language. He decided to view the film—and afterward he accepted Christ and repented of his sins!
Meanwhile Jemal discovered that the tablet was missing. Shocked and troubled by the loss, he experienced a sleepless night.
Early the next morning Abera decided to return the tablet. When it came time to meet with Jemal, Abera was eager to tell him how God had changed his life. Instead of stealing to make a profit, Abera started attending an underground church in the area, where he learns how to grow in his new faith. Praise God!
Pray for efforts this month to provide tablets and tablet sets needed for film and partner teams from Asia to Africa, and from Latin America to the Middle East.
