Tuning In, Reaching Out

Jonah, a young motorbike taxi driver in a Southeast Asian country, responded to a prompt he saw on a TV channel featuring Jesus Film Project films. When he texted a response center number, he was identified as a potential “person of peace,” which is a concept taken from Luke 10:5-7. A potential person of peace is a local individual who is open to the gospel, expresses willingness to meet with a local believer to learn more about Jesus by studying Scripture and helps host outreach efforts.

After corresponding with a response team member, Jonah agreed to meet with a local field worker to receive spiritual mentorship. Once he became a follower of Christ, he shared his new faith with his friends, family members and others. He witnessed incredible results—23 people put their faith in Jesus, and eight new house churches formed. These new believers began reaching out to people in their spheres of influence. Jonah’s passion for sharing the gospel seemed to be contagious!

It stories like this you are helping make possible each month through your prayers and generous partnership with me and with Jesus Film Project. Thank You!
