Friendship changes lives*

Friendship is one of our greatest blessings. When friendships are good, they offer emotional support, build up our confidence, and inspire us to be our best selves. The importance of quality friendships can’t be overstated. They magnify life’s best parts and make terrible experiences a little more bearable.

The Bible has a lot to say about this critical topic. In “15 Bible Verses about Friends and Friendship,” we examine a few of these passages. This article will give you plenty to think about, and may even make you a better friend!

Desperate for connection
Loneliness is an epidemic. A recent poll from YouGov found that 30% of Millennials (ages 23–38) say that they feel lonely. The poll also revealed that 22% said they had zero friends, 27% said they had no close friends, and 25% claimed not to have any acquaintances.

In the short film “Invisible,” we examine loneliness through the lens of a homeless man whose good deeds are ignored by the people around him. Like the man in this film, there are plenty of people who feel entirely unnoticed and forgettable.

Take three minutes and watch (and share) “Invisible,” and ask yourself what you can do this week to help someone else feel a little less lonely.
