Easter Outreach Touches Hearts and Transforms Lives.

Easter season outreaches, both online and broadcasting saw new milestones. From YouTube and social media campaigns to television the gospel was proclaimed. Through TV alone 168.3 million people in 76 nations heard the good news through 268 showings on 75 stations.

To bring this down to something you and I can relate to, let me share a report from Ghana this week. It’s a man’s story* from an Easter broadcast.

“I am medical doctor in one of our cities in Ghana. On the Easter Saturday, I was glued to my television set while the Jesus Film was being broadcast. As I watched, I was broken. I knew there and then that I had done enough evil and I couldn’t forgive myself.

I prayed to receive Christ, but something kept on hunting me. I had sleepless nights and horrible nightmares. I was troubled and restless filled with so much guilt.

Then, one of the Jesus Film Project Counsellors connected with me and took me through a series of bible lessons.

During one of the Bible study lessons on the phone, he shared Colossians 1:14, 2:13 and he helped me understand that all my sins have been forgiven and washed away by the blood of Jesus according to the scriptures. Wow! I sensed a deep relief within me. Indeed, since that time I have been freed from my sleepless and horrible nightmares!”

The man’s life-transformation went through several steps beginning with seeing “JESUS.” God used the counselor and His word to bring this physician into a relationship with Himself and full healing.

Thank you for your prayers for the Easter outreaches which have led to stories like this. Please pray for television broadcasts this month for Pentecost and for International Children’s Day on June 1.
