October Praise and Prayer Update

Praise:

This month my parent ministry, Cru (originally known as Campus Crusade for Christ) is celebrating its 75th Anniversary. My first exposure to Cru was at a large conference [Explo ’72] in Dallas, TX in June of 1972. The following fall, as a sophomore, I joined the Campus ministry movement at Colorado St. Univ.

In 1977, I served in a lay administrative capacity with the “I Found It!” campaign; a Cru city-wide, church-based outreach in the greater San Jose, CA area. (The campaign was conducted in 246 cities across America.)

That led to me joining Cru full-time that summer. 49 years later I keep serving and following God’s leading. To learn more about Cru, its 75 years and our global ministry go to: https://www.cru.org/75/

Pray:

  • Broadcasting continues to be an effective means of placing the gospel on film in front of men, women and children. A pilot TV project in the Middle East over the past year, on multiple platforms, proclaimed the good news to 83 million Arabs. Pray for the ongoing follow-up with those who expressed interest. The ministry is now asking if this model could be replicated in other parts of the world.
  • Our broadcasting team preparing for broadcasting opportunities for the upcoming holiday season. Pray for television in many of the Top 12 least reached nations. Also, pray for new opportunities for radio with partner TWR in 50+ nations. God is continuing to open doors to put His message of hope and salvation into nations that cannot be easily reached through traditional means.
  • Monday I finished two months of ministry travel. And now I have both catch-up and year-end projects to tackle in earnest. Pray for renewed energy to finish the year well.

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
    make known among the nations what he has done.”

Psalm 105:1 (NIV)
